As a testament to starting one's Jiu Jitsu journey at a young age, Dominic Vazquetelles was one of the very first kids that began training with Professor Lepri almost 11 years ago when he was six years old. Dominic continued training until the age of ten. After six years of being off the mats, Dominic returned in February of 2025 and it seemed as if he had never left. What he learned as a child was still there waiting to continue. 

Dominic's commitment allowed him to win gold in the IBJJF Charlotte Summer Open as a white belt, and after being promoted to his blue belt in September, also won silver and gold in the IBJJF Charlotte Fall Open as a blue belt. One of his proudest achievements has been gaining the trust of Professor Lepri to help assist the new generation of kids at the academy.
