Israel began his jiu jitsu journey in June of 2021 and is currently a purple belt under Professor Lucas Lepri. He was introduced to Lucas Lepri Jiu Jitsu through a recommendation from his high school friend and black belt, Jonathan “JT” Torres.

Coach Israel teaches our entire kids program, and assist Professor Lepri for some Fundamentals classes. He gets to share his love for jiu jitsu with his oldest daughter, which makes the journey even more special. Israel is also currently learning Portuguese as his second language to deepen his connection with the jiu jitsu community.

Before jiu jitsu, Israel served 5 years as a U.S. Army Cavalry Scout Paratrooper with the 2ND Infantry Division & 82nd Airborne Division. In his free time, he enjoys outdoor adventures, watching and playing all sports, sharing laughs, and spending quality time with his wife, their two daughters, and their dog, Shadow.
